Background and Experience.

I am an experienced management consultant, having worked in the fields of human resource management and learning and development for many years, both in the UK and internationally.  I started my career in HRM in the manufacturing and public sectors before entering the university sector, where I was involved in teaching and research at different institutions. In the early 1990s I left academia to set up my own consultancy practice and since then I have had the opportunity to travel extensively with that role, working both in the UK and overseas, carrying out projects across a range of HR and L & D topics.

This work has been carried out in Asia (in Singapore, Hong Kong and India), in the Middle East (in Bahrain, the UAE and Oman), in many European countries including Scandinavia, France, and the UK, in Africa (in Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa) the Caribbean, and in the USA.

As the author of three research based management texts (see below) as well as several articles, I aim to work with topics which have currency and relevance. My approach combines practical applications with theoretical underpinning to ensure that any project meets its objectives and has longstanding value, as well as credibility in its marketplace.
