THE POWER OF
WORDS
In all aspects of our daily lives we need to use words, either written or spoken, to communicate our ideas, thoughts and feelings to others. The language and terminology we use, as well as how our words are delivered, will impact on the interpretation of our messages by others.
This communication process is vital to both our working and personal lives, our relationships with others, and how, through the learning process, we can enhance our knowledge and understanding of the world we live in.
For communications to work well, the language we use should be clear and accurate with unambiguous meaning. A good choice of words, good use of sentence structure, and grammatical accuracy are all important.
In the workplace this is of critical importance to ensure that messages given and received are clear, concise and relevant. Whether these messages are from employers or employees, everyone needs to understand the best way to present ideas, concepts and information. Whilst increasingly technology is being used to enhance the communication process, the content being delivered must be relevant, timely and useful.
I can help with these issues by producing customised ie curated content for a variety of audiences as well as supporting employers with the design and delivery of a variety of communication activities.
